Advocate Kumar Abhishek is an Independent Counsel enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi (since 2021) and a Permanent Member of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Practising independently since September 2023, he drafts and handles briefs before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, and Tribunals — with more than 130 appearances before the Supreme Court over the last three years. His focused specialisation spans Constitutional, Civil, Service, and Criminal Laws.

He previously served as Legal Consultant to the Law Commission of India (October 2023 – August 2024) and as Assisting Counsel to Mr. Manoj Goel, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India (November 2022 – September 2023), and continues to assist in important matters. He is a recipient of the Justice J.S. Verma Fellowship (2025–2026), awarded by the Supreme Court Lawyers Welfare Trust, and a Pegasus Scholar (2025) of the Hon'ble Society of the Inner Temple (Bar Council of England and Wales), during which he worked with Crown Office Chambers, 39 Essex Chambers, 6 Pump Court, and Landmark Chambers on public, civil, and commercial matters.

Alongside practice, he has taught Constitutional Law and Family Law as Assistant Professor (Guest) at the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (2022–23), and serves as Guest Lecturer at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (since August 2024).
